Retail oil prices in Maine exceed $3.50/gallon
As crude oil set a new record high yesterday at $111/barrel, Maine home heating oil prices continue their relentless rise exceeding $3.50/gallon charges by many dealers with some pricing their oil at nearly $3.70. No end appears to be in sight as the declining US dollar leads investors to speculate in oil futures driving the price ever higher.
